of the injector and the new style the plastic injector cap retains the lower O ring. Therefore the lower hole opening in the old style fuel rail is not compatable with the new style injector tips. Therefore the new style fuel rail does not fit into the old style lower manifold unless machining is done or a conversion kit like the 300D fuel rails.
I do not know about the adapter kit for the Deatschwerks injectors.
Also if I recall when I did my old to new style injectors conversion, the new style has a different filter size and diameter than the old style.
